Roles are a way for organizations to create personalized learning experiences for learners. Sana can identify the courses most relevant to each learner's role and interests, allowing them to quickly find the courses they need to develop their skills and knowledge.
What is the personalized learning experience?
Assuming roles have been set up, let's check out what a personalized learning experience could look like from a learner's perspective.
The very first time you sign up to Sana you are greeted with a landing page, you are asked to select the role you would like to develop and then pick at least 3 areas you would like to learn about.
Once you have selected your areas of interest, Sana creates a personalized learning plan tailored to your needs. Through this experience, you are able to gain the skills and knowledge you need to reach your goals.
Check out the video below to see what this looks like for new Sana employees:
How to set up Roles
First off, you need a range of courses that are set to available to all and appeal to at least one role. There are a couple of options here:
Sana offers a readymade taxonomy with 20 roles and relevant tags attached to them across Sales, Marketing, Support and Tech. Reach out to your CSM to enable it. Contact your Sana representative to enable it
2. Once you have a selection of courses available, you need to add roles (if you haven’t enabled the Sana library aforementioned)
Go to Manage > Roles
Add role
Create New
Add Name of the role and select tags associated with the role
Now you’ve done it! You’ve set up your first role and you’re on your way to creating an awesome personalized learning path for all of your learners.
Next time a learner signs up they will be greeted with the roles landing page including all the roles you have set up with tags and tagged courses
We recommend setting up at least 3 roles so that your learner has options!
