Question variations in Sana
Varying the questions in an MCQ is a great way of helping learners stay engaged and retain new knowledge, instead of simply memorizing answers. After writing or generating an MCQ, you can write up to 10 variations for each MCQ, or let Sana’s AI generate them for you.
Here’s how it works:
Add variation - After writing or generating a question, choose Add variation at the bottom of the question block. This creates a new empty question variation for you to fill out.
Generate variation - To let Sana suggest a variation, choose Generate variation in the drop-down menu.
Refine and approve - You can edit and refine any question, cycle through the questions using the numbered buttons at the bottom of the question block, and delete the questions you don’t need.
Variations will be cycled through randomly for the learner, so that they don’t repeat the same questions over and over again.
