Smart Reviews is an innovative feature designed to help learners retain information more effectively. They apply to self-paced courses that are built in Sana, using the course content to generate review questions or recap cards. Here's how it works:
AI-powered summary: After completing a self-paced course, AI generates a micro version of the course, presented in 'cards'.
Spaced repetition: Learners receive these cards 14 days after course completion, leveraging the spaced repetition method to reinforce learning.
* Smart Reviews do not apply to external courses, Sana Live sessions, in-person trainings, or programs.

How to create Smart Reviews
To set up Smart Review for the course you're creating before publishing:
Open a course in Self-Paced Editor in Create.
Click the Publish button.
Got to More settings.
Toggle Include Smart Review on.
Cards will automatically be generated, click on the edit icon (pencil) to review and edit.
Click Save and publish.
You can also set up and edit Smart Reviews from the Manage page:
Navigate to Manage > Content on the global sidebar.
Open the course where you want to add a Smart Review.
Toggle Include Smart Review on.
Cards will automatically be generated, click on the edit icon (pencil) to change or regenerate cards.
Click Save and close.
Editing the Smart Review
After the initial AI-generated cards are created, you have the flexibility to tailor them to better suit your needs. By clicking on the edit button, you can choose to:
Add card
Delete card
Re-generate card
When you are happy with the outcome, click Save and close.

What happens next?
When Smart Reviews is activated, the learner will receive an email 14 days after completing the course and can review the cards.

Are users having trouble launching a Smart Review module?
Try toggling the Smart Review button on and off again.
Wait for the Smart Review cards to fully generate.
Click Publish.
