Why enable Microsoft Teams notifications from Sana?
This ensures that learners stay updated on live sessions, due dates, and important events, enhancing engagement by delivering notifications in their everyday communication tool.
What notifications are sent?
With Teams notifications set up, your learners will receive notifications directly in Microsoft Teams.
These following notifications are send out:
Course and path notifications
When you're assigned a course or path
When a due date is approaching
When a due date has passed
Insights notifications
When a dashboard is shared with you

How to set up Microsoft Teams notifications
The integration will only work for users with matching email addresses in both Teams and Sana. Additionally, you must be an admin in Sana and have admin access in Microsoft Teams to set up Teams notifications.
Log into your Sana account.
Go to Settings > General
Find the Microsoft Teams under the Meeting tools section and click Configure.
4. Login to your Microsoft Teams account and enter your Microsoft Teams tenant ID, which can be found in the Teams admin center, and click save.

Method 1: Using Microsoft Teams
Launch the Microsoft Teams application.
Click on the three dots (More options) next to any team or channel.
Select "Get link to team."
Copy the URL provided.
The Tenant ID is the GUID (Globally Unique Identifier) found in the URL. It typically looks like this: https://teams.microsoft.com/l/team/19%3a<team-id>@thread.tacv2/conversations?groupId=<tenant-id>&tenantId=<tenant-id>. The Tenant ID is the value after tenantId=.
Method 2: Using the Microsoft 365 Admin Center
Go to admin.microsoft.com and sign in as a global or user management admin.
Expand the Admin Centers tab and click on Azure Active Directory.
In the Azure Active Directory, the Tenant ID will be displayed under the directory properties.
Method 3: Using the Teams Admin Center
Go to the Teams Admin Center and sign in.
Click on Teams from the left-hand menu.
Select the team you want to get the Tenant ID for and go to the team details.
The Tenant ID will be listed under the team details.
Once the integration is enabled in Sana, install the Sana app (found here) through the Microsoft Teams app store. By setting up an app policy (or adding the app to an existing one), you can force install the app for all your users. For more details, refer to this guide.
💡Installing the app must be done AFTER the integration is set-up, otherwise you will need to reinstall once this is done.
