Why integrate Sana with Salesforce?

If you synch Salesforce data with Sana, you will be able to

  • Use the user metadata to automatically enroll the right user to the right content at the right time based on triggers in salesforce

  • Pull out custom reports or set the right permissions on group of users based on your Salesforce data structure.

  • And if you synch the Sana courses and reports with Salesforce, Sana content will also be accessible to your colleagues directly in Salesforce, and the content completion reports will be available in Salesforce.

How do I integrate Salesforce and Sana?

Depending on what you want to achieve you either install the Sana Salesforce App or you ask your Engagement Manager to setup the integration for you.

Synchronizing Sana courses

By doing so, your users will be able to see the list of the Sana courses that you decided to synchronize directly in the Courses tab from their Salesforce home.

  1. Install the Sana Salesforce App, please ask your Engagement Manager for a link and make sure to

  2. Loop in a Salesforce administrator from your company

  3. Ask the Salesforce administrator to follow the installation instructions for the Sana Salesforce App

  4. Schedule a test and setup meeting with your Engagement Manager

Congratulations, your courses are synched!

Synchronizing Sana reports

By doing so, your Salesforce admin will be able to see all the course completion reports from Sana directly in Salesforce. Theiry will be able to build dashboards with insights into how trainings drive sales performance. Your users will also be able to see their course completions directly in Salesforce too.

If you have already installed the Sana Salesforce App at the previous step, you can skip steps 1 - 3

  1. Install the Sana Salesforce App, please ask your Engagement Manager for a link and make sure to

  2. Loop in a Salesforce administrator from your company

  3. Ask the Salesforce administrator to follow the installation instructions for the Sana Salesforce App

  4. Enable the reporting functionality from the Sana App settings page in Salesforce

  5. Schedule a test meeting with your Engagement Manager

Security of integrations

The integration are hosted by your Salesforce instance.

Data transmission

Data in transit is encrypted at all points through SSL/TLS protocols. The data transmission between Sana and Salesforce happens through authenticated and secure REST API calls. API credentials are utilized to request secure access tokens that are required to perform all API requests.

Storage of credentials

The credentials to Sana stored and transmitted securely (encryption in transit and at rest). Credentials are stored in Salesforce and cannot be retrieved by an admin once saved.
