How to browse in the Discover page

Click on one of the pills at the top of the page to browse all content in that category.

  • Adjust filters to include content in other categories. You can select multiple categories.

  • You can also filter by content type (Courses, Programs or Sessions).

You can sort content by the following:

  1. Alphabetically (A->Z)

  2. Alphabetically (Z->A)

  3. Closest in time (Only relevant for live and event, based on the start time of the most upcoming session)

  4. Popularity (Only relevant for programs and courses. Based on number of enrollments for programs and for courses it is based on number of users who have interacted with the course in the last 30 days.)

  5. Newest (Only relevant for courses)

How the Discover page reels are ordered

Read more about content organisation and Home page features here.

First reel: Featured

Featuring courses on the Sana Discover page offers companies a strategic way to increase course visibility and drive engagement. By highlighting essential or time-sensitive content, companies can direct employees towards relevant courses, promote enrollment, and foster a shared understanding of company culture.

1 or 2 Featured courses will show up per Feature reel. If there are more, they will show up further down.

Second reel: Upcoming live events (if applicable) or Programs

Any upcoming sessions (live or event) that the user can enroll in/has enrolled in will show in this reel. Otherwise, this reel will be hidden. The content in this reel is sorted based on the most upcoming sessions.

If this reel is hidden, the program reel will be shown here. If both are hidden, a category reel will be shown.

Third reel: Self-enrollable programs (if applicable) or Category

Self-enrollable programs, sorted based on their popularity score (number of users who have self-enrolled in the program). If there are no programs that the user can enroll to, this reel will be hidden

If this reel is hidden, a category reel will be shown instead.

Fourth reel: more featured content (if applicable) or Skills

If the content has more than 2 content featured, this reel will show the additional featured pieces. If there are in total 3 featured pieces in the org, this will show one big piece; if 4, two pieces will show (the first two are displayed in reel 1).

If there are 2 or fewer featured content in the organization, this reel will show the skill reel instead.

Fifth and sixth reel: Category reels.

The categories are displayed in the same order as set in Manage > Content/Programs > Manage Attributes > Categories

Seventh reel: Skills

This reel will display skills the user can subscribe to. The skills are sorted based on the number of subscriptions. If there are 2 or fewer featured content, this reel will be shown in the fourth reel instead. If there are no skills the user can subscribe to, this reel will be hidden

The rest of the reels will show the remaining category reels, displayed in the same order as set in Manage > Content/Programs > Manage Attributes > Categories

Please note the following:

  • The Course, Program and Sessions top pills will only be shown if there is content related to these. If there are no Programs to show, the Program pill will be hidden. Same goes for the Category pills.

  • Content reels will be hidden if there are less than three elements of related content. For example, if your organization has a Category that is only attached to two courses, that category reel will be hidden.
