Welcome to your guide to understanding and utilizing Sana Home. This feature-rich homepage enhances your experience and makes navigating through Sana a breeze.
Understand and use Sana Home
Sana Home is the first page you see when you log in. You can also open it from the global sidebar.
It helps you find learning content, review activity, and continue where you left off. Your homepage can include:
Navigation icons for sections such as To do and Recommended courses
Recent activity and updates
A personalized greeting
Learning content available to you
Navigate Sana Home
Sana Home is organized into sections, sometimes referred to as reels, that surface relevant learning content. Your homepage shows courses and sessions you can access. This includes:
Courses assigned to you
Live sessions you are enrolled in
Courses in Teamspaces you belong to
Courses set to Visible everywhere or Group access for static or smart user groups you belong to.
To do
The To do reel appears at the top of your homepage. It shows your most important assigned learning content.
Content appears in due-date order, from left to right. The reel can include:
Assigned self-paced courses
Assigned programs
Upcoming live sessions you are enrolled in or facilitating
Upcoming in-person events you are enrolled in
Featured
Featured courses help learners find important content. As an admin, you can select up to four featured courses for your organization.
Use featured courses to direct learners to relevant content, encourage enrollment, and reinforce company culture.

Skills overview and Leaderboard
The Skills reel helps you build specific skills through structured learning paths. Skills can include analytical thinking, programming, or communication.
Each skill includes levels, such as beginner, intermediate, and expert. You can track your progress through each level and earn badges by completing related courses.
You can follow skills from your Home page and explore related content. When courses are tagged with skills, your completed learning contributes to your skill proficiency.
The Leaderboard appears in the Skills reel when your organization enables it. It ranks learners based on the badges they earn. If your organization does not enable the leaderboard, you see only your own progress.

The You might like reel recommends courses based on how you use Sana.
Recommendations are dynamic and unique to each learner and can consider:
Courses you’ve viewed or interacted with
Courses you’ve completed or started yourself
Courses assigned to you
Ratings from other learners with access to the same courses
Upcoming sessions
The Upcoming sessions reel shows live and in-person events available for enrollment. It can include events that are:
Set to Visible everywhere or visible through Group access
Assigned to you with Allow self-enrollment enabled
Sessions you are assigned to and enrolled in appear in the To do reel.
If you do not see the Upcoming sessions reel, there are no active sessions available for enrollment.

Your categories
The Your categories section helps learners browse content by category. Categories use Content attributes to organize your library.
To create a category:
Go to Manage > Content.
Select Manage attributes from the dropdown menu in the top-right corner.
Open Categories.
Click Add.
Enter a name, image, and description.
Click Save.
Learners can browse categories from their homepage.
A category appears on Sana Home only when its content is visible to the learner. For example, content must be set to Visible everywhere or shared with a Teamspace the learner belongs to.
