Accessing Version History
Navigate to the specific content you want to view the version history for.
Click on the "Version History" button located in the settings menu.
Understanding Version History
In the Version History panel, you will see a chronological list of all changes made to the content. Each entry will display:
The date and time of the change.
The name of the user who made the change.
By clicking on a specific version, the changes will be highlighted.
Reverting to a Previous Version
If you wish to restore your content to a previous version:
Go to Version history via the 3 dot menu in the top right
Find the version you wish to revert to, you can filter the versions either by card or by entire course.
Choose to either:
Duplicate card to latest version by selecting the menu option via the 3 dot menu on the card. This will restore that card in your deck without losing progress on the existing version of the card
Duplicate to new course by selecting the menu option via the 3 dot menu on the version selection. This will restore that version of the course without losing progress on the existing version of the card by duplicating it and saving it in your 'My content'.
In the video demonstration below, my colleague John mistakenly deleted a card, as you will see I can quickly review the changes made and restore a previous version of the card
Conclusion
The Version History feature in Sana provides a safety net for your content creation and editing process. By keeping track of all changes, it allows for better collaboration, accountability, and flexibility in your content management.
Happy editing!
